Research Queue

Where research jobs live: submit companies, watch progress, run the agent.

The Research screen is the job queue behind everything Diurno HQ looks up. Submit a company on the left; watch every job — research, enrichment, outreach, people checks — on the right.

Submitting a company

Type the company name (website optional but helps Diurno HQ be sure it's the right one), add a note for the analyst if there's something specific to look at, and hit Research Company. The agent verifies fit, gathers sourced signals, detects competitors, finds likely buyers, and scores the account — automatically.

Job statuses

StatusMeaning
QueuedWaiting for the background worker (instant lane). Usually seconds.
Free laneHeld for the free overnight agent. The ▶ button runs it now on the instant lane instead.
ResearchingRunning right now.
CompletedDone — the summary line shows score, signals, contacts, and sources found. “Open account →” jumps to the result.
FailedSomething went wrong — the reason is shown. Retry with the ↻ button.
SkippedNothing needed doing (e.g. a duplicate).

“Failed: ambiguous company” is honesty, not a bug

If several real companies share the name and Diurno HQ can't be certain which one you meant, it fails the job instead of guessing and polluting your data. Re-submit with the website filled in.

Run daily agent now

The button top-right triggers the daily agent immediately: process the queue, refresh stale accounts, re-score with decay, enqueue people checks, and pre-build today's Daily Brief (the morning email digest sends too, once per day, where it's configured).
